Extending legacy and transitional provisions and class markings update
Following the recent announcement by the CAA to extend the transition and legacy provisions out to 1 January 2026. It was also decided that European Union (EU) class marks on drones will not be recognised in the UK after 1 January 2023.
So What? Well for most the class markings will not make a difference. However, Mavic 3 owners will now be restricted to operations in the A3 category unless they hold an A2 Certificate of Competence.
So if you’re a Mavic 3 owner and want to operate your drone up to 50m from uninvolved people, then get in contact with us today or visit our A2 Certificate of Competence training page for more info.
