On Thursday the 25th of November a team from Eagle Eye Innovations Ltd received the MOD Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

The event, which was hosted by the Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association for the North West of England & The Isle of Man (NW RFCA), East Midlands (EM RFCA) and Yorkshire and The Humber (RFCA YH, honoured 38 organisations and companies with the Gold Award from the three regions.

Sion Roberts, the CEO of EEI, commented, “It was an honour to be here in Leeds at such an incredible venue to accept this reward on behalf of the company. Having received the Silver award in 2018, it’s great to see that in just three years, and despite the disruption caused by COVID, that the team have taken our commitment to the Armed Forces, Reserves, Veterans and their families to another level.

The award was presented to the team by Her majesty’s Lord- Lieutenant of West Yorkshire – Mr Ed Anderson and the Minister for Defence People & Veterans, Leo Docherty MP.

Even though we have now reached the pinnacle, with regards the Employer Recognition Scheme, we aim to continue to build on the last few years by employing more veterans, continue to supporting our reservists, helping service families whilst providing our professional services back to the Armed Forces“, said Sion.

He went on to further say, “Coincidently, I started my journey with the Armed Forces 29 years ago to the day when I started basic training with the Royal Air Force, and I can honestly say I’m proud for my company and for myself to still be heavily involved with the Armed Forces.
