Test and Evaluation (T&E)

Test and Evaluation (T&E) in the drone industry is a continuously growing area in both the commercial and defence sectors and is a crucial process to ensure the technology meets the required standards of safety, reliability and performance. It enables the development of new systems and concepts to facilitate advances in all aspects of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) industry, including areas such as Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) operations, swarming, larger RPAS operations and the dropping of articles.

We have deep experience in the testing of innovative drone systems from small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to larger Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) and High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) platforms. This includes the generation of comprehensive, structured Test Plans, the planning and delivery of complex flight test programmes, payload testing, environmental testing and safety testing among others. Once tests are completed, the drone technology will be evaluated, before the results of the evaluation are used to make any necessary modifications to the technology before it is introduced to a wider market or before it is used for it’s intended purpose.
