Job Description

EEI are looking for enthusiastic and experienced RPAS Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering operational intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) RPAS services to UK and international customers as part of the EEI Operational Services Division. Candidates must have a strong background in crewed or uncrewed military or civil ISR operations, have good communications skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate may be expected to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekend and Bank Holidays and may be expected to travel internationally to support operations.

Key responsibilities

Delivering RPAS ISR across various complex systems to customers in the military and civil sectors.
Ensuring the delivery of safe flight operations and always being an ambassador for flight safety.
Conducting live-, simulator-, and classroom-based training to maintain currency, competency, and drive continuous improvement of EEI services.
Maintaining an understanding of civilian and military airspace constructs and communicating with Air Traffic Control and other aircraft to manage deconfliction when required.
Maintaining knowledge and compliance with civil and military regulations.
Remaining familiar with all system documentation, standard operating procedures, local flying orders, and other relevant information.
Providing detailed event logging and incident reporting in accordance with all necessary regulations and EEI Safety Management System

Qualifications (essential):

An appropriate qualification in aviation or aerospace, or comparable experience.
Aviation experience as flight crew or engineer, either military or civil.
Competent in Maths and English and working knowledge of Physics.
Ability to obtain a UKSV or equivalent Security Clearance.

Skills and experience (essential)

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
Ability to make and implement complex technical risk-based decisions under pressure.
Well organised, good team player with a problem-solving approach.
Aviation management or supervisory experience.

Skills and experience (desirable)

Aviation or aerospace technical qualifications, including current or previous flight crew, UAS, UAV, RPAS or engineering licenses.
Hold a current General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) or A2 CofC
Previous experience in ISR.
Knowledge and experience of mission management systems.
High level of situational awareness.
