Air Marshal Sir Christopher Harper KBE MA FRAeS CMgr CCMI MIoD Chairman, Non-Executive Director
Having joined the Royal Air Force as a single-seat fast jet pilot in 1976, I flew numerous aircraft including the Jaguar, the CF-18 and, more recently, the Eurofighter Typhoon during my 40-year military career. I was involved in active operations over Iraq and the Balkans and commanded at all levels of the Royal Air Force including as the Commander of the RAF’s Jaguar Force from 1999 to 2001, and as Air Officer Commanding of No 1 Group from 2007 to 2009. I was appointed as the Deputy Commander of NATO’s Joint Force Command at Brunssum in the Netherlands in 2009; following that, I became the UK’s Military Representative to NATO and the EU. In 2013, I was elected to be Director General of the NATO International Military Staff at NATO HQ in Brussels. On my retirement from the Royal Air Force in January 2017, I started a small independent consultancy, CH4C Global Ltd and in 2018, I became an advisor and non-executive director of Eagle Eye Innovations Ltd. I have a passion for harnessing new, innovative, positively disruptive technology for application in the defence and security sector and in helping young, dynamic companies grow and succeed. I am a Non-Resident Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council of the United States and am the Honorary Air Commodore of No 2620 ‘County of Norfolk’ Squadron of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force based at RAF Marham. I am a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and also serve as the President of the UK Air League.
